High School Alumni Association
The Benjamin Hurt Hardaway, Jr. High
School Alumni Association was formulated by an energetic
group of alumni interested in giving something back to their
high school. After several planning meetings, the HHS Alumni
Association was officially formed in July 2006. The alumni
group exists for the sole purpose of providing needed resources
to the high school, that they cannot access through normal
funding channels. Their vision is to:
• Create a connection and common thread across the alumni group
• Improve the overall quality of the Hardaway experience for current
students
•
Recognize teacher’s and alumni for making a difference
• Provide financial support
The HHS Alumni Association Board of Directors
is excited and energized about the possibilities ahead that
will positively impact the Hardaway High School experience.
The Board is requesting that all HHS alumni join in the excitement.
Your involvement is necessary for the alumni to play a major
role in supporting our high school. The alumni responsible
for forming the group have worked closely with the principal
and school officials to ensure a coordinated effort between
the alumni group and the school needs.
Here’s how the HHS Alumni Association
funding will work: The principal will meet with the grant allocation
committee to discuss funding needs that originate from the
teachers. A selection committee that consists of HHS alumni
will be established to review the funding requests. The criteria
for granting alumni funds will be based on the following factors:
• Advancement of the overall quality of the Hardaway educational experience
• The number of students impacted
• Funding is unavailable from other sources
It’s easy to join and demonstrate your
commitment to Hardaway High School. There are several levels
of giving available. Select the giving level that suits you,
make your check payable to the Hardaway Alumni Association,
and mail to Hardaway Alumni Association, P. O. Box 4683, Columbus,
GA 31914-0683. We need your help to get the grant
funding off to a good start. Sign up today and become an integral
part of a dynamic alumni group.
Levels of Giving
• Bronze $ 25 - $ 100
• Silver $101 - $ 250
• Gold $251 - $ 500
• Platinum $501 - $1,000
